We work hard at Restorative to ensure children and young people who are looked after in residential children’s homes, receive the highest possible standard of care, within holistic, positive settings. We follow a model of care that’s innovative within the industry; prioritising continuity of care and a strengths-based approach. It’s a model that ensures the success stories of many of the young people we work with, and improves their outcomes for happier, more successful lives.
We couldn’t be prouder of the work we do within our children’s homes, and we are now looking for a Registered Manager to join us, to assist the Service Manager/s and Directors in delivering our social care provision within one of a growing number of high-quality children’s homes.
You will need to be an ambitious and committed individual, with relevant experience in children’s social care, comfortable in a senior role, inspiring and motivating a team, whilst fulfilling various management team functions. While helping us to drive excellence in children’s social care practice, you’ll also need to be flexible to meet the needs of an often challenging role, and have a passion and commitment to your own continued learning and development.
Essential criteria:
- A genuine commitment to looked after children and anti-oppressive practice
- NVQ / ILM Level 3 / QCF 4 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent or be working towards
- Management and supervisory experience
- Embedded understanding of the complex nature of the services users we support
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989/2004 and associated guidance and regulations; Working Together to Safeguard; Leaving Care Act (2000) and children’s homes regulations
- Good communication, IT, and report writing skills
You will report to the Service Manager and Directors in your day-to-day work and receive individual mentoring and full support to help you in your role, and progress. Training and career opportunities are excellent at Restorative, as well as the potential for personal development, in a friendly, approachable and communicative team.
