Senior Support Worker – Supported Accommodation

The person

We’re looking for someone who has some experience of working with young people, either in residential care, supported accommodation or other relevant setting, who is ready to take on a more senior role, develop their practice and take the next step in their career.

You’ll relish the opportunity to make a difference every day to young people, celebrating their successes as well as your own, as you progress in your social care practice and gain new qualifications.

We follow a model of care that’s innovative within the industry; prioritising continuity of support and a strengths-based approach. It’s a model that ensures the success stories of many of the young people we work with, and improves their outcomes for happier, more successful lives.

Essential criteria:

• A genuine commitment to looked after children and anti-oppressive practice
• NVQ / ILM Level 3 / QCF 4 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent or be working towards
• Experience in residential care or other relevant experience of working with children and young people
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989/2004 and associated guidance and regulations, Working Together to
• Safeguard, Leaving Care Act (2000) and Supported Accommodation Regulations (England) 2023
  Good communication and IT skills

You will report to the Zonal Manager in your day-to-day work and receive individual mentoring and full support to help you in your role, and progress. Training and career opportunities are excellent at Restorative, as well as the potential for personal development, in a friendly, approachable and communicative team.
