Byron-Smith-SQ

Byron Smith

Byron has worked in children’s social care and youth work since 2005, including working in the youth justice system, statutory social work, residential care and supported living. As one of the founding Directors of Restorative SCS, Byron has worked for the organisation since its inception in 2017.

Byron’s qualifications include an MA in Social Work, Level 5 in Leadership and Management, Level 3 in Working with Children and Young People, as well as a BSc (Hons) in Sports Science. He is also a Team Teach Trainer.

Chris-Kershaw-SQ

Chris Kershaw

Chris has worked in social care since 2005 and has a substantial amount of experience supporting children and young people in care, and those transitioning to independence, to achieve and move forward in life. Now, in his management role within residential care, Chris supports staff and teams to do the same.

He is committed to better outcomes for children and young people, and the best practice this takes, including developing Restorative the organisation. He has achieved Ofsted outstanding ratings in a number of residential children and young people’s homes in the Northwest and Yorkshire regions.

Chris holds a Level 5 in Management, Level 4 in Health and Social Care and Level 3 in Health and Social Care. He is also a Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Dave-Copping-SQ

Dave Copping

Dave has worked in residential care for many years in a variety of settings, including specialised therapeutic provisions. He has been a registered manager at several settings, achieving outstanding in Ofsted inspections.

He has also worked as an investigative officer, investigating CSE (Child Sexual Exploitation) for the West Yorkshire Police and brings a wealth of knowledge in this area. He is active in developing the Restorative team and passionate about high-quality care and support for young people.

Dave holds a Level 5 in Leadership and Management and a Level 3 in Health and Social Care. He is also a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
