We work hard at Restorative to ensure young people in our supported solo and group accommodation settings receive the highest possible standard of holistic, enabling support. We follow an innovative model of support within the industry, prioritising continuity of support and a strengths-based approach. It’s a model that ensures the success stories of many of the young people we work with, and improves their outcomes for happier, more successful lives.
We couldn’t be prouder of the work we do to support young people transitioning, or on their journeys, to independent living, and we are now looking for a Support Worker to join our supported accommodation team. We’re pleased to say our team is expanding, so we can deliver more innovative support to young people who need it; either living alone or in group supported accommodation provision.
You will need to be a dedicated team member; inspired by the difference you can make every day to the young person/people you work with and support in their daily life/lives and routines. You’ll need to be confident working alone, as is often the case with solo supported accommodation settings, and flexible to meet the needs of the role; as well as have a passion and commitment to your own learning and development in social care.
Essential criteria:
- A genuine commitment to supporting young people and anti-oppressive practice
- Be working towards a QCF Level 4 Diploma
- Previous experience of working in a young person’s support setting, or a role/s where there are transferable skills
- Good communication and IT skills
You will report to the Senior Support Worker in your day-to-day work and receive individual mentoring and full support to help you in your role, and progress. Training and career opportunities are excellent at Restorative, as well as the potential for personal development, in a friendly, approachable and communicative team.
