Attending Copa 71 Film Premiere
One of the young residents at Princeton House was lucky enough to attend the film premiere of Copa 71, a film about the first ever ladies England football team who played in the world cup in Mexico in 1971
Directed by James Erskine and Rachel Ramsay, this incredible story is told by the pioneering women who participated in a tournament witnessed by record crowds that has been written out of sporting history – until now. The film stars Elvira Aracen, Brandi Chastain and Birte Kjems.
Being a guest at the event she was also able to meet some of the ladies who played in that tournament and also had her football shirt and a book on the story signed.
What a amazing experience!
