Grove House Goes Spanish for Culture Night

Grove House in Bradford recently hosted a vibrant Spanish Night as part of Restorative Social Care Services’ monthly Culture Calendar, and it was a huge success. This month’s focus was Spain, giving young people the opportunity to explore a new culture through food, flavours, and shared experiences.

The evening centred around learning to cook with fresh produce and stepping outside comfort zones by trying new ingredients from across the globe. Shelly, Assistant Manager, worked closely with the young people to create a menu tailored to everyone’s tastes, ensuring the experience was inclusive, fun, and educational.

Together, Shelly and the young people prepared a selection of Spanish-style tapas dishes to accompany the main dish. To top it all off, the young people were treated to a signature non-alcoholic sangria, freshly made using a variety of fruits. By the end of the night, everyone was full to the brim, smiling, and proud of what they had created. It was an enjoyable, hands-on experience that not only brought everyone together but also supported learning, confidence, and cultural awareness.
