We couldn’t be prouder of the work we do within our supported accommodations, and we are now looking for a Supported Accommodation Service Manager to assist in delivering our social care provision. We’re pleased to say our team is expanding in order support and prepare for the introduction of ‘The Supported Accommodation (England) Regulation 2023’. This expansion will allow us to continue to deliver innovative nurture and support to more young people in our growing number of high-quality supported accommodations.
You will need to be a dedicated team member, comfortable in a service managerial role and being a role model to other workers, as well as taking a role in higher management team functions. You’ll need to be flexible too to meet the needs of this often challenging role, and have a passion and commitment to your own learning and development in social care.
Essential criteria:
- A genuine commitment to looked after children and anti-oppressive practice
- NVQ / ILM Level 5 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent or be working towards
- Experience in supported accommodation or other relevant experience of working with children and young people
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989/2004 and associated guidance and regulations, Working Together to Safeguard, and Leaving Care Act (2000)
- Good communication and IT skills
You will report to the Supported Accommodations Director in your day-to-day work and receive individual mentoring and full support to help you in your role, and progress.
