Planning our 2022 at Princeton House
As we approach the end of 2021, it’s time for us to look ahead to 2022 and get planning lots of good things to look forward to, to inspire and interest our young people and support them in developing new knowledge and skills.
Taking inspiration from the diverse cultural and sporting events going on around the world, the team at Princeton House have put together an exciting calendar of activities for the first half of 2022, with a different theme each month.
In January, we are going to be learning a new skill. The emphasis will be on doing something completely new, to help us stray out of our comfort zones and encourage us to face a challenge, and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment when we’ve achieved it!
February will be all about cooking and baking – having fun in the kitchen but also learning the valuable life skill of cooking for ourselves, as well as enjoying a tasty treat.
March will see us getting our craft heads on and exploring our artistic sides. Watch this space!
As spring hopefully starts to blossom in April, we are going to be getting outdoors, investigating nature and feeling the benefits of being in the fresh air and countryside.
May is all about mindfulness and relaxation, taking time to be still and reflective, learning techniques that will help us to chill out and recuperate when we need to.
And in June we will be appreciating films and movies of all kinds, including world and independent cinema as well as film-making and how films represent different cultures and express ideas.
That’s it for the first half of 2022. We’ll be back to report on what we achieved, and what the team have in store for 2022 part 2!
