Celebrating Friendly House Food Bank Donations for Ebeneezer Church Halifax
Colleagues from our Supported Accommodation Home, Friendly House, organised a food collection for the Ebeneezer food bank at Halifax and over the last few weeks they have been taking in donations from colleagues across the company. The team rallied troops to clear out their kitchen cupboards and donate anything they didn’t need; everyone was more than happy to help!
Our Friendly House colleagues donated the items they had collected to the Ebenezer Church in Halifax on 19th December. The team at Ebeneezer were thrilled with the donation, which will help put meals on the table for some families in need this Christmas season.
The Senior Support Worker at Friendly House, Becky, would like to thank everyone who took part and donated to this wonderful cause. Becky said “Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we collected an outstanding amount of food and toiletries for those in need”
‘The Calderdale Food and Support Drop-In Centre at New Ebenezer Church, Halifax, helps to feed some of our most vulnerable members of society through handing-out around 150 food parcels, each week. The Church has been used as a food bank and crisis centre since 2009 and is run by Christians Together Calderdale. It has been supported by individuals and local churches, as well as donations from organisations and small business to provide a weekly drop-in service of food parcels and support to people and families struggling to cope.’
