Jude – Rowing the Atlantic Ocean with Team Rollocks
Jude Garland, who previously worked for Restorative SCS as a support worker and is currently the First Aid trainer for the organisation will soon be setting off on an amazing challenge. Jude will be attempting to row 3500 miles across the Atlantic ocean, as part of a team of 5 completely sane adults (Jude’s words).
Jude is part of ‘Team Rollocks’ and in Mid-December 2024, the mixed team of 5 will set off to take part inthe World’s Toughest Row and crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Tenerife to Antigua.
‘Team Rollocks’ will be attempting the challenge in a 28ft ocean Rowing boat (See pictures) and are hoping to complete the challenge in around 35 days. The team are going to require mental strength, resilience, determination, and some luck along the way as they tackle the ocean.
‘Team Rollocks’ are working hard to set a world record for a mixed five crossing, and bringing recognition to our beneficiaries, BEAT, Cockleshell 22 and Rock to Recovery. Although small, each beneficiaries supports incredible work providing essential support for people dealing with mental health challenges.
Restorative Social Care Services are please to be able to sponsor Jude and the team on their incredible Journey.
