Flamingo Land Day Out
Care staff and young people living in supported accommodation with Restorative SCS recently enjoyed a day out at Flamingo land theme park. This was as part of the monthly activity that has been introduced, to allow young people to opportunity to participate in group activities. Over the past few months, it has become evident that both the young people and care staff enjoy participating in activities together.
It allows the young people to meet people, develop their social skill and overall have some fun. In total 7 young people attended the group activity. At the start of the day there seemed to be some fear and anxieties among the young people upon seeing the larger rides, however with some gentle encouragement from the care staff, everyone joined in. Once the young people overcome their initial fears, they were unstoppable.
It is safe to say that everyone had a wonderful time, with some of the young people experiencing thrill rides for the very first time.
