Thank you for 100 Easter eggs for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS charity

Thinking of children in hospital over the Easter period, staff and young people at Restorative homes started an Easter egg collection on behalf of the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS charity and managed to successfully collect and deliver 100 eggs!

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the collection. The charity distributed these eggs to the youngest patients who were admitted into hospital over the Easter weekend.

Emma Kovaleski, charity manager, said “I am so inspired by the children and young people at Restorative, who have shown such levels of kindness, compassion, and sense of community. I want to take this opportunity to say a really big thank you to everyone who has supported our youngest patients this Easter, you have made a really big difference”.

Liam Scott, manager of Friendly House, acknowledged the efforts of everyone involved.

“Thank you for all the support we have received from the various homes within the organisation and thank you to Rebecca Pickett for taking a lead on the collection. The charity has told us they were blown away with the collection. It was really good to see young people get involved and some used their own weekly food budget to purchase eggs. It’s really inspiring to us how young people and staff at the organisation come together on projects like this.”
