Dave’s Mile a day Swim for Overgate
Dave wanted to set himself a challenge in January 2025, to keep his mind focussed, whilst also improving his physical health.
As some of you will know, Overgate hospice is a very special place and one close to Dave’s heart and unfortunately will become even closer in the future. Dave wants to say thank you for all the amazing work done at Overgate Hospice and hopefully raise some much-needed money for Overgate along the way.
Dave aims to swim 2025 lengths in January 2025 (25m Swimming pool). This equals 65.3 lengths a day (1 mile). There may be some days where Dave is unable to swim, which may be out of his control. So his aim is to either to catch up or get ahead of his target.
Dave said “The pain and sacrifice I will go through is nothing compared to what people go through daily”.
We will be updating and sharing progress throughout the month.
We appreciate it’s January and people will have had an expensive Christmas period, but please spare anything you can for an amazing cause.
