Grove House Serve Christmas Dinner to the Homeless at Christmas

This Christmas, the staff and residents at our group-supported accommodation home, Grove House, dedicated their time to giving back to the community. They served hot drinks and warm food to the homeless at Fountain Church, Bradford. They put together bags of gifts, including gloves, hats, toiletries, and sweet treats for everyone in attendance. It was a heartwarming and selfless act of kindness that brought joy to many this holiday season.

All our young people were fantastic volunteering for such a great cause, They gave much-appreciated help to the Church and the Homeless over the festive period.

Some of our residents at Grove House are Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers, and this was their first Christmas with us, they all had a great time celebrating and learning about festivities in other countries and cultures too.

Back at the home everyone ate Christmas Dinner together, with one resident commenting “Christmas Dinner was Peng!”.  The classic Christmas games were then brought out, the favourite of the young people being Jenga! One resident proclaimed “Jenga won’t beat me!”

Settling down for the evening, Christmas movies were enjoyed on the TV and not one person could eat another chocolate!  The whole team and residents had so much fun, the whole festive season has been relished greatly.
