Sun, Sea & Sand
Young people of Grove House had an amazing weekend in the sun. They took a trip to the northwest coastal seaside town of Blackpool, Lancashire. Blackpool is home to the Blackpool Tower, which when built in 1894 was the tallest building in the British Empire.
For some of our Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) this was the first time they had visited the seaside.
The day consisted of playing in the arcades, walks on the beach and dipping into the cold Irish Sea to cool off.
The staff also took them on the big wheel where they got to experience the views of Blackpool, everyone then enjoyed some traditional Fish & Chips.
