Ogden Moor Celebrates Outstanding Ofsted Rating Across All Areas
Ogden Moor is celebrating a remarkable milestone after achieving an Outstanding rating in every area during its recent Ofsted inspection. The unannounced visit began early on the morning of 4th November 2025, when staff awoke to a knock at the door signalling the start of their full annual inspection.
Over the two-day visit, Ofsted inspectors were warmly welcomed into daily life at Ogden Moor. Staff and young people alike played an active role in showcasing the home’s nurturing and family-centred environment. The youngest resident took particular pride in helping with the inspection, keeping the inspector busy with games of hide-and-seek, dancing, party games, and plenty of laughter.
The inspector shared heartfelt feedback about her experience, saying she was able to get “a real feel for the home’s family environment.” She added:
“I’ve had so much fun over the last two days I spent there. I really enjoyed your parties and your bedtime games—you made me laugh so much. It was amazing to see how fun your home is.”
Alongside celebrating the vibrancy and warmth of the young people, the inspector praised the dedication and professionalism of the whole staff team:
“It is my job to make sure the management and all the adults in the home are doing everything they can to care for the young people—and I think they are doing an outstanding job. They really care about you, and they are all incredibly proud of you all.”
The Outstanding result is particularly meaningful following a period of significant staffing changes. Registered Manager Chris, who took over leadership within the past 12 months, reflected on the team’s journey:
“The care team have worked really hard together to find common ground, bringing each of their individual strengths into a shared vision. Everyone has contributed to becoming an outstanding team. They’ve developed some brilliant ideas for supporting our young people, which has led to fantastic outcomes.”
While the team is thrilled with their achievement, Chris emphasised that this is just the beginning. He shared his confidence in the team’s commitment to maintaining high standards and continuing to grow:
“This is an amazing achievement, but we’re not stopping here. The team are eager to build on this success, and we’re all looking forward to exciting times ahead for both the home and our young people.”
Ogden Moor’s Outstanding rating is a proud moment for everyone involved—staff, young people, and Restorative Social Care Services. It stands as a testament to the home’s passion, resilience, and unwavering commitment to providing a safe, joyful, and truly restorative environment.
