Princeton House rated outstanding by Ofsted

After a recent full, two-day inspection, Ofsted rated our Princeton House children’s residential home outstanding, with the rating awarded in all key areas considered by inspectors.

The inspector considered the opinion and feedback of a number of professionals who work with the young people at Princeton House, as well as the young people themselves, about the service provided and how the care team work. Speaking to social workers, education and healthcare professionals alike, comments were extremely positive, with one professional stating, “The team work with the young person at the heart of all they do.”

Ofsted’s feedback identified how our Princeton House team “clearly work in a way that is person centred and focused around the individuals within the home”, specifically recognising and mentioning how the team have undertaken dedicated training and implemented it into the daily running and approach to supporting the young people.

The inspector was particularly impressed by Princeton House’s varied, cultural engagement plan, enabling the team to be creative and diverse in how they approach individual and keywork sessions, while creating many opportunities and interests for the children at the same time.

Most importantly, we are proud to say, Ofsted felt that the needs, wishes and feelings of the young people at Princeton House were truly the main focus of the incredible work and service of our team; and it was clear to see the passion and commitment all members have for the wellbeing and support of young people in how they deliver person-centred, targeted care plans.
